IT25 MC - Welcome to school (Presentation of the week and students’ presentations)

The students and teachers participating to the congress week met early in the morning at IS Majorana auditorium. The Italian coordinators held a welcome speech to everybody and showed the weekly programme, through a power point presentation, focusing on the explanation of the students' tasks of the different outdoor activities. The participants were also given a dossier with information about the weekly programme, the group activities, main facts about the places to visit and a survivor language kit.  ​
The two students from each country were given some minutes to introduce themselves and to explain in their own words their motivation to be part of the project. Some of them used digital materials, like power point, clips, collage of pictures, while presenting themselves, while others just spoke about them and about their motivation to be an Erasmus student. A representative of the Italian students made a welcoming speech wishing the other students to spend a fabulous Erasmus experience in Palermo. ​

The welcoming section ended with the Italian team's grand opening of the community mural, one of the pedagogical action of the first year. Students and teachers of the graphic design and science high school classes who were involved in the realisation of the mural were invited to explain the meaning of the mural and the way they worked to paint it. It was a very rewarding moment.
