While touring Warsaw, students from Poland invited their correspondents from Estonia and Italy to spend about 1,5 hours on lunch in a few chosen locations. They chose the dishes and beverages. While having lunch they integrated by sharing reflections on the guided tour of Warsaw they had participated in and the visit to Warsaw Zoo as well as the zoo lesson on biodiversity. They also discussed the similarities and differences between the Polish cuisine and those of Estonia and Italy. In this way, they sensitized each other to the social and cultural analogies and differentiations of their respective national and traditional food and eating habits. Students enjoyed the lunch break spent together before returning to Płock. The photos taken by them were shared on the school social media. The meeting gave the students an opportunity to practice English as a common language of communication. They also strengthened their friendships and created memories that will stay with them for a long time. This intercultural exchange enriched their understanding of both tradition and modern lifestyle in each country. The time spent together also helped students develop teamwork and openness to new experiences. They expressed their willingness to meet again during future projects. Such activities proved that learning outside the classroom can be both valuable and enjoyable.
The result was the lunch eaten together in the atmosphere of friendliness. respect and mutual communication. The lunch break gave students a breathing space after the tasks connected with Warsaw Zoo and Warsaw guided tour they had just completed.
