RO26 TD – Legends and Myths-similarities and differences

In this engaging project, each participating country contributed a unique legend or myth drawn from its own rich cultural heritage. The objective was to collaboratively create a final product in the form of a comic strip, which could be either digital or traditional. Students were encouraged to develop imaginative stories where legendary characters from different cultures met and worked together to resolve a shared challenge or dilemma. Alternatively, some groups opted to produce conceptual maps focusing on thematic elements; these maps featured main branches representing core themes, beneath which students added relevant examples from their respective myths and legends. This approach not only fostered creativity but also encouraged intercultural understanding and collaboration, as students explored diverse cultural narratives and found common ground through storytelling. The project emphasized narrative skills, artistic expression, and the ability to synthesize cultural knowledge into an accessible visual format. By engaging with myths and legends in this way, students deepened their appreciation for cultural diversity while honing their communication and critical thinking skills. The process also involved teamwork, research, and iterative refinement, resulting in a tangible artifact that showcased both individual and collective contributions to the shared storytelling experience.
