Teachers from the host school guided the visiting teachers on a comprehensive tour around the hosting school.  During the visit, they presented the history of the institution, explaining its origins, development, and key milestones over the years. The guests were shown various parts of the school, including classrooms, specialized laboratories, staff rooms, and common areas used by students. The hosts explained how different spaces are used in everyday teaching practice and how they support student learning. Particular attention was given to modern equipment and teaching resources available in the school. The group was also taken to the school museum, where important historical elements and achievements of the institution were presented in detail. Participants had the opportunity to learn about local traditions and the school’s role in the community. Additionally, the hosts showed a board dedicated to Erasmus projects, highlighting past international collaborations and mobility activities. This sparked discussions about shared experiences and future cooperation opportunities. Throughout the visit, participants asked questions and exchanged opinions in an open and friendly atmosphere. The tour was both informative and interactive, encouraging reflection and dialogue among teachers.

Aims and skills targeted :

To get the orienteering knowledge of the school hosting, its topography

To  share knowledge of the school history, facilities and functioning to enhance cross cultural communication and mutual understanding.

To integrate the teachers and make them realize the correlation between the school facilities and people’s well-being, identity and self-expression.

To promote the knowledge of foreign languages as tools to express knowledge, views and ideas.

To improve language skills and teamwork.

Results

Participants developed a deeper understanding of the host school’s structure, facilities, and educational approach. They were able to compare infrastructure, resources, and working conditions with those in their own institutions. The activity inspired new ideas for improving school spaces and teaching environments. It also promoted the exchange of good practices and innovative solutions. Teachers gained insights into how international projects like Erasmus can be effectively implemented and showcased within a school. Moreover, the visit strengthened professional relationships and encouraged future collaboration between partner institutions.
