PT25 EP Visit to TJ moulds industry

TJ Moldes was founded in 1985, with aim of manufacturing steel moulds for plastic industry. It is committed to implementing advanced technologies in its production process, which may involve using more efficient machinery and sustainable energy systems. Students have learned about how the company integrates energy efficiency practices into its production, such as reducing energy consumption and using renewable energy sources like solar or wind power and discussed technological innovations that help reduce the carbon footprint in the industry.
The visit provided students with insights into how sustainability is not only an environmental issue but also an opportunity for innovation and knowledge on how research and development of new materials, technologies, and processes can be used to create more sustainable solutions, and how companies can play an active role in environmental protection, and showed some examples of their creation.
This approach broadend students' understanding of the important role that companies play in both the community and the environment. Visiting the factory facilities, students could learn about the complete production cycle and the importance of considering sustainability at every stage. From the choice of materials to the manufacturing and use of moulds, to the disposal or reuse of final products, every decision can have an environmental impact. They have illustrated how companies can integrate sustainable practices at each stage of the production process, from product design to delivery to customers. In addition to learning about a leading company’s sustainability practices, students were encouraged to think about how the industrial sector can evolve to incorporate more sustainable practices in the future. The visit can be an opportunity to spark interest in fields such as engineering, product design, and environmental management, and how these areas are connected to the development of sustainable solutions.
