RO HA The formation of Romanian People and our Roman routes
01 mai 2025Students from 2 9th and 11th degree classes , together with 2 teachers, organized activities related to the formation of Romanian people and its language, including a reading activity in the school’s library. The activities focused on the formation of the Romanian people and the Roman heritage, engaging ninth-grade students in an enriching academic exercise. We organized a trip in Sibiu, where we visited the History Museum and Brukhental and also different historical places, with importance in the formation and development of the Romanian people. In the same trip, there was a visit in Sighisoara, another historical city in Romania, with important influence during the Middle Ages, also related to Vlad the Empaler, one of the most well known Romanian historical figure. By discussing various theories and historical evidence, the students gained a broader understanding of the complex processes that shaped the Romanian identity. By encouraging reading and finding more about our latin heritage, students could appreciate more our culture, could increase their self esteem and being proud to be part of the Romanian people.
This initiative not only fosters a deeper appreciation for Romanian history but also encourages critical thinking, teamwork, and effective communication. The teachers aim to create an environment where students feel empowered to voice their opinions, challenge existing narratives, and contribute to the scholarly discourse. Such activities are integral to developing well-rounded individuals who are capable of engaging with complex historical topics and contributing meaningfully to the academic community.
