FR25 TD Welcome to school (Presentation & karaoke)
12 nov. 2025The French coordinator held a welcome speech to everybody before we could start working and provided information about the week programme, the participants, and some main facts about France, the region, and Dunkirk. They sat with their correspondents and started directly to get to know the students from the other countries. It began with a funny karaoke with well-known songs that everybody could sing along to, which created a very nice atmosphere. Italy proposed Sara Perche Ti Amo by Ricchi e Poveri, Romania chose Aminitire cu haiduci by Valeriu Sterian, Serbia selected Za Milion Godina by Yu Rock Misija, and France performed Il faut que tu respires by Mickey 3D.
Each team presented their hometowns, the main features of their area, their high school, and their daily life there. They used PowerPoint, clips, and pictures while presenting their country and what is special for them. It was really a discovery for all to see different school environments in our Erasmus+ project. Students were very curious and asked many questions about traditions, school systems, and leisure activities. It helped them realise how diverse yet similar their lives were.
The presentations also allowed everyone to practise their English skills in a real situation, which made the exchanges even more meaningful.
Many students said later that they felt more confident speaking in front of an international audience.
That moment was concluded with a Kahoot about the agenda of the week, which created a friendly competition between the teams and helped everyone remember the important activities planned. The interactive quiz made the end of the session both fun and educational.
The students got to know each other for the first time in an unformal and easy way. They all experienced a nice welcome by the French students and teachers. They got to know each other a bit more and learnt about each country’s culture, schools, traditions, history and specialties. In that way they knew a bit more about each other which led to further discussions in between the nationalities. They also practiced listening and understanding English when presenting. The music atmosphere gave good vibes and a relax atmosphere. All the teams were paying attention to the other presentations. Everybody got to know the project.
