Two weeks before the project, teachers received position papers of the countries they represented in the debates on the topic "Addressing linguistic inequality in access to education for minorities and migrant communities."
During the first committee session, participants were introduced to three Polish students, who served as Chairs. They were the moderators of the debates, who conducted the order of the proceedings and gave a detailed presentation about the Model United Nations, its history, different roles of participants in the conferences, explained motions and points as well as described the most important committees. Afterwards we moved to the proceedings, starting with each of the delegate giving their opening speech - a brief statement on the topic. For the second committee session we had two different modes of the debate. First one being the Moderated Caucus - the most formal type of debate, in which the focus was brought on specific aspects of the issue that had to be taken into consideration. The second mode of debate was the Unmoderated Caucus. In this part, delegates were free to move around the room and begin discussing specific ideas for drafting a resolution. Our final committee session focused solely on the resolution. Delegates worked collaboratively and came up with many excellent solutions to the problem. Even though it only lasted 4 hours, thanks to the amount of work everyone put into this project, we managed to have professional debates in the style of a proper MUN that everyone enjoyed and gained unforgettable experience from.
