FR25 LG Ice breaking Games: Bingo and the Clock
11 mars 2025In order to know each other the students participate in two ice breaking activities. These activities are a bingo where students can tick on a box by finding a person who answers affirmatively a question and they write down the name of that person and the clock which give to them some appointments and they have to debate around a short topic proposed by the teacher.
In both games of 30 minutes students can ask anyone in the room with the exception of their nationality team members so the could widen their social circle during the programme from the very beginning.
BINGO: This game is played in several stages. This game got the students moving, encouraged them to reach out to others and to discover more personal aspects of themselves. The students get to know each other better after this game and are ready to work together for future workshops. Each participant receives a sheet of paper and moves around the room asking questions of the other participants. The aim is to fill the table with different names and have a complete line… then two lines and at the end the table completed.
THE CLOCK: The workshop begins with everybody has to draw a clock. (24 persons play). Each student goes to each one to fix an appointment every hours or half hour. You can meet 2 persons at the same time. Everybody has completed the calendar with the 12 questions
The students really enjoyed the activity because they got to know each other in a playful way and at ease. Also, all the students got the opportunity to talk and to introduce themselves. They saw how important having good communication skills is. This game got them moving, encouraged them to reach out to others, to discover more personal aspects of themselves. They get to discuss with each other better after this and are ready to work together for future workshops
