Students  learned about the castle’s tragic destruction during World War II and its impressive post-war reconstruction, symbolizing Polish resistance  and national pride. With audio guides in English  students walked through the castle, getting insights into its history, architecture, and significance.

They explored the  artworks created for Polish kings, including pieces by renowned painters such as Marcello Bacciarelli and Bernardo Bellotto (Canaletto), whose works played a key role in rebuilding Warsaw. During the tour, students took photographs on the themes of art, painting and national heritage, which they used in workshops on Thursday. Thanks to  them they understood how the royal patronage influenced Polish art, culture, and national identity over the centuries.

Visiting the Castle with audio guides, students learned about the history of Poland, learned about the rulers of Poland and their fates. The halls of the Castle enchanted visitors, it was a real journey into the past. Students admired works of art. Their task was to find the most enchanting ones, those that made the greatest impression on them. Listening to the guide in English, they developed their language skills and the ability to understand by ear, associate facts, places and facts. As conscious Europeans, they curiously explored a place that was new to them.

This visit has provided the students with a deeper appreciation for national heritage, artistic legacy, and the importance of historical memory, while fostering international friendships and cultural exchange.
