PL25 HA City tour of Warsaw

Students from Poland, Romania, and Serbia explored Warsaw’s rich national heritage and art. The visit focuses on the most significant landmarks, where each Polish student serves as a guide, sharing historical and cultural insights with their international peers. Some of the landmarks have a symbolic meaning e.g. The Monument to the Little Insurgent symbolizes bravery and sacrifice; The Barbakan offers insights into the city's defense history; The Warsaw Mermaid Statue as the emblem of Warsaw links the city's mythology and identity.
Polish students explained the significance of each landmark, encouraging dialogue and discussion.
Polish students showed their guests around Warsaw, presenting individual places, telling about their history, their significance for Poles. They prepared their presentations in English, thus developing their language skills. They developed a route for sightseeing in Warsaw, developing their entrepreneurial, organizational and group work skills.
Students have learnt about Poland’s national heritage, key historical events, and the significance of the landmarks visited. Working together in discussions, presentations, and activities have built their cooperation skills. Polish students have developed a deeper appreciation for their own culture while preparing the visit themselves and sharing knowledge with others.
