SB25 CC Culture of nature protection: Zasavica nature park
16 oct. 2025The visit to the Zasavica Nature Park served as a pleasant and highly enriching excursion into an ecologically oriented cultural environment operating in Serbia. Our hosts explained the park’s methods of conservation and management, and presented several autochthonous breeds of domestic animals that have been reintroduced into Serbia through the systematic work of the Zasavica team.
During a short boat trip, we had the opportunity to pass through the park itself without disturbing the wildlife. We learned about the ecological and economic value of donkey-milk products, the mangulica breed of pigs, and other indigenous species. Combined with a simple activity such as picking grapes along the roadside, the visit offered us an extraordinary experience of human activity in deep harmony with nature and its resources.
