Students and teachers took part in a handicraft workshop focused on traditional skills and creativity. First activity was making small decorative birds using yarn. The activity introduced them to simple but culturally rooted techniques, encouraging patience, attention to detail, and appreciation for handcrafted work, instructed by Ms Sirli Kodres - they were obliged to prepare a toy of different types of wool, beads, string and glue. The toys were miniature models of typical Estonian species of birds that stay in the country at winter time and do not fly away to warm countries - a bullfinch and a blacktit..
Second activity was digital technology workshop, conducted by the teacher of digital technology, Ms Anna Malkin. There the participants were expected to design a logo of the RACinE+ project, inspired by the Estonian part of the programme. The students used Canva to design interesting and thought-provoking stickers, which were sent to Padlet, printed and discussed.
The third part was lead by Ms Kaisa-Helena Luht . Students and teachers created personalized wooden boxes and painted local traditional wardrobe patterns on paper. This gave the possibility to discuss with the friends while working on small pieces and enjoying the colouring the patterns or glueing the pieces of the box.
