ES HA SCHOOL AND ITS IMPACT ON THE FUTURE LIVES

In the beginning of April, as part of Global week, an opinion festival TEC INSPIRE took place, where many TEC alumni and other specialists performed. This year's theme was "The Power of Collaboration".
The opening speech was given by Marcus Ehasoo, the head of advocacy at the Estonian Association of Non-Governmental Organizations, a consultant in the field of educational management at Tallinn University, and an alumnus, who spoke about the voice of young people in school and society. Students were also able to ask questions beforehand, which were facilitated G3IB. Among the questions were: Did being in the student council help you in the future and how? What opportunities do young people have besides the student council to make their voices heard? What could schools and local governments do to make youth involvement in decision-making processes more effective? What should motivate young people to participate in politics when important positions in the Riigikogu are mainly held by citizens over 40 years old (the average age is 49.8)? How does making higher education fee-based affect the division of society? How can students in more difficult economic situations afford higher education (except for current grants, which are not sufficient)? Etc.

Then, each 8-G3 student could choose one panel discussion that interested them the most.

“The Sustainable Self: Wellbeing, Impact and Balance”
“Style That Cares About the Environment”
“Collective Commitments for a Continuous Environment”
“The Human-Centered City: A Revolution on Bikes”'

Specialists of different areas were discussing on named topics, questions given by the moderator, the school student. 

Our Erasmus+ guests from Germany also participated in the Opinion Festival.
