TD Dance workshop
05 juin 2026As part of the Erasmus programme, participants took part in a traditional dance workshop aimed at promoting cultural heritage, intercultural learning and active participation. The activity took place in the school’s outdoor area and provided students and teachers with the opportunity to learn and practise traditional Portuguese dances under the guidance of experienced facilitators. Through practical participation, participants explored elements of Portuguese cultural identity, including traditional music “Água leva o Regadinho”, rhythm, movement and social interaction. The workshop encouraged collaboration, cultural exchange and appreciation of local traditions within an international learning environment.
Results: Participants developed a greater understanding and appreciation of Portuguese cultural traditions through direct engagement with traditional dance practices. They acquired basic skills in performing traditional Portuguese dances and strengthened their awareness of the importance of safeguarding intangible cultural heritage. The workshop promoted intercultural exchange, social inclusion and cooperation among participants, while enhancing communication skills, self-confidence and group cohesion.
