Students chose 5 sayings about human characteristics, 5 sayings about human behavior, and 5 sayings about the beliefs of the Serbian people. Each saying was illustrated.

Two students led the workshop, engaging with their peers. The presentation had been prepared in advance and included:

•A literal translation of each Serbian saying into English;
•Questions about the meaning of the illustration and the saying, along with prepared answers;
•At the end of each saying, students asked:
"Do you have a similar saying in your language for the same characteristic, behavior, or belief? Or does it remind you of a saying that expresses the opposite characteristic, behavior, or belief?"

Sayings in Polish or Romanian were recorded on flip chart paper.

Students were divided into four groups. Nine unexplained illustrations were displayed on the screen, and each group selected two drawings to interpret independently. Afterwards, each group found a corresponding saying in their own language (Romanian or Polish).
Finally, each group created a drawing of their chosen expression and displayed it on a pre-prepared panel.
