The activity began with a joint screening of the documentary A Life on Our Planet by David Attenborough. Narrated in English, the film presented the story of the last hundred years of Earth’s history, covering the narrator’s lifetime, the changes caused by human activity, and the looming risk of ecological catastrophe. Importantly, the documentary also suggested solutions to these urgent global problems.

After watching the film, students worked in international groups to discuss the threats and possible solutions highlighted in the documentary. Each group then created a poster to illustrate both the ecological dangers and the potential actions to protect the planet. The posters reflected students’ sensitivity, creativity, and artistic talent, as well as their ability to reflect deeply on environmental issues.

Finally, each group presented their poster to the others, explaining their ideas and conclusions. The diversity of proposed solutions, combined with the variety of artistic forms, made the activity highly engaging and inspiring. The exercise also helped students develop teamwork and communication skills in an intercultural context. Many of them emphasized that the documentary had been both eye-opening and motivating to take real action. The activity showed that education can foster not only awareness but also responsibility for the future of our planet.
Posters showcasing ecological threats and solutions created collaboratively in international groups.
Insightful reflections and discussions on the future of the planet.
