PL25 EC CC Street interviews with city residents
23 sept. 2025
After participating in a workshop led by a journalist from Płock Radio, students were given the opportunity to put their newly acquired skills into practice by conducting street interviews. Their task was to talk with local residents, in this case students from our school, about topics related to “Green Płock.” The focus of the interviews was on the city’s ecological situation, the challenges it faces, and possible solutions that could improve environmental conditions in the future. The activity was carried out in international pairs, which gave students from different countries a chance to collaborate and support one another while using English as their common language. This not only encouraged teamwork and creativity, but also built confidence in speaking with strangers and formulating meaningful questions. The interviews provided valuable insights into local perspectives on ecology, while at the same time strengthening students’ communication skills, intercultural cooperation, and awareness of environmental issues.
The street interviews allowed students to apply journalistic skills in practice, gain confidence in public speaking, and improve their English communication. Working in international pairs strengthened teamwork and cultural exchange. Participants deepened their understanding of ecological issues in Płock, while residents appreciated the opportunity to share their views and ideas.
