RO EP What is Green Energy

On February 3, Romanian physics teachers, led by Curbăt Florin, organised an educational workshop to raise student awareness about green energy, environmental impacts of human activity, and protection strategies. The material's name was “Surse regenerabile de energie”. Two classes actively participated in this well-structured event. The workshop opened with a detailed presentation covering sustainable energy sources such as solar, wind, and hydro power, emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation. This provided students with a clear understanding of ecological challenges.

Afterwards, students engaged in a thoughtful debate about challenges and opportunities in adopting green energy, discussing economic costs, infrastructure, and societal acceptance. They proposed practical ways to integrate renewables, including using energy-efficient appliances, supporting local initiatives, and advocating policy reforms. The discussion highlighted both individual and collective environmental responsibility.

The workshop was insightful, fostering meaningful dialogue and raising awareness of urgent environmental issues. It encouraged critical thinking about students’ roles in planet protection and inspired proactive efforts towards sustainability. Overall, it successfully deepened ecological understanding and motivated responsible behaviour inside and outside the classroom
